BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Guey-Jen Lee-Chen is a Professor at the Department of Life Science, NTNU, Taiwan since 1999. She has considerable experience in molecular genetic analysis of human genetic disease, including mutation screen and characterization, case-control study of at risk polymorphism and/or cell model studies in spinocerebellar ataxias, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease. To develop therapeutic strategy targeting protein misfolding and aggregation for the treatments of associated neurodegenerative disease, selected Chinese herbal medicines and natural/synthetic compounds are currently being examined. She has many publications.
