BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Ronn Johnson, Ph.D., ABPP is an Associate Professor in Creighton University Medical School, Department of Psychiatry. HE worked as Associate professor in the School of Leadership and Educational Sciences at the University of San Diego. He is a licensed and board certified psychologist with extensive experience in academic and clinical settings. He is the Director of the Western Region of the American Board of Clinical Psychology. He has also served as a staff psychologist in community mental health clinics, hospitals, schools and university counseling centers. The University of Iowa, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Central Oklahoma, and San Diego State University are among the sites of his previous academic appointments. In addition, he is an adjunct professor in the Homeland Security Department at San Diego State and the California School of Forensic Studies at Alliant International University. He founded several counseling centers that currently serve racially diverse populations. These sites include the Urban Corp of San Diego County, Southern California American Indian Resource Center, Community Allies for Psychological Empowerment, and the Elim Korean Counseling Center.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Ronn Johnson’s practice and research areas include antiterrorism, trauma, police psychology, juvenile fire setting and bomb making.
