BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Jianguo Zhao is presently working as a Professor “100 talent” at the Institute of Zoology at Institute of Zoology in Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He also worked as Research Assistant Professor from 2008 to 2010 in Animal Science Research Center/National Swine Resource & Research Center, University of Missouri-Columbia, and Columbia, MO, USA. He did his Postdoctoral Research Follow in Department of Biological Sciences, University of New Orleans, and New Orleans, LA USA. He has almost 30 publications under his name. He is also acting as a reviewer for International Journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
His research focuses on making genetic modifications in pigs by somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) or gene mutagenesis.
His lab conducts researches in three main areas:
- Making genetic modifications in pigs.
- Reprogramming mechanism in SCNT and epigenetic regulations in the development of early stage embryos.
- Large- scale pig mutagenesis.
