BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Natalia A. Schmid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University, US. She completed her Ph.D. in Engineering at Russian Academy of Sciences and D.SC. in Electrical engeneering at Washington University in St. Louis. Russia. She also worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate at University of Illinois and Washington University. She received many awards. She authored book chapters, articles. She is acting as a member of professional organizations, editorial board and also as reviewer for journals and conference proceedings.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Natalia A. Schmid’s research interests include biometric modalities such as face and iris, fusion of biometric modalities, and performance analysis of biometric systems in general.
