BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Robert luk is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computing at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. He completed his Ph.D. in the School of Electronics & Computer Science at University of Southampton. He also worked as Visiting Research Scholar at the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval in the Computer Science Department at University of Massachusetts. He received many awards and grants, Technology Transfer Award, Certificate of Merit for 2009 and 2012, Successful patent award from HKPU and so on. He is a member of several professional committees, and is acting as reviewer of peer reviewed journals. He authored many book chapters and articles.
Dr. Robert luk’s research interest includes Information Retrieval, Algorithmics, Pattern Recognition, Speech Processing, Natural Language Processing, Chinese Computing, and Computational Linguistics.
