BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Ramprasad Sripada is presently working as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesia at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, United States. He almost has 19 years of experience in the field of Anesthesia. He is also working as Medical Director in Acute Pain and Regional Service and Director in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Fellowship Program. He is also working as Clinical Teaching Supervision of anesthesia residents and fellows, medical students, and student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNA’s) at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Recently he has been certified with VU IRB Human Subjects Protections Training Program, VU Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Certification) by The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, United States and also honored with First Prize “PERIOPERATIVE INJURIES RELATED TO INTRAVENOUS CATHETERS.” Nidhi Sheokand, MBBS, Ramprasad Sripada, MD, by Midwest Anesthesiology Residents Conference (MARC) in Chicago, United States.

His research interests include
- Acute pain management in chronic opioid patients.
- Ultrasound guided regional blocks.
- Outcomes research in acute pain and regional anesthesia.
- Perioperative TEE for hemodynamic monitoring during complex surgeries in prone position.
- Transesophageal Echocardiography: Tele-echocardiographic monitoring.
