Dr. Yan-Hua Chen is currently working as an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology at East Carolina University, US. She received many honors and awards. She has a membership in many professional societies. She performed many book and journal reviews.

Dr. Yan-Hua Chen’s research interests include:

- Rho GTPases and Neuroprotection Model in Cancer Therapy
- Molecular Interactions of Tight Junction Membrane Proteins
- Regulation of Paracellular Ion Permeability by Phosphorylation
- Delta-catenin cleavage by presenilin and synaptic remodeling
