BIOGRAPHY:
Dr Laura Hammond is a Chartered Psychologist, and Lecturer on the MSc in Investigative Psychology at the University of Huddersfield.
Her research into crime and criminal behaviour has focused on a wide range of areas, from spatial patterns in crime and Geographical Offender Profiling to rape investigation, terrorism, the use of eyewitness evidence in court and investigative interviewing techniques.
Laura is interested in all aspects of criminal and forensic psychology, and has worked with a number of different academic bodies, police forces and law enforcement agencies around the world on a range of consultancy projects and criminal legal cases.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr Laura Hammond's research interests are Criminal and Forensic Psychology, Offender Profiling, Sexual Offences, Serial Murder, Homicide, Terrorism, Criminal Geography, Geographical Offender Profiling, Eyewitness Evidence, Investigative Interviewing, Cognitive Bias in the Forensic and Investigative Sciences.
