BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Chin-Chuan Wei is currently an associate professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry and an adjunct faculty in the Department of Pharmaceutical Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, USA. He worked as an assistant professor at Department of Chemistry, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (2005- 10). He received his Ph.D. degree from City University of New York and postdoctoral training in Cleveland Clinic Foundation, OH, USA. He published various articles in international journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Chin-Chuan Wei’s research is mainly focused on understanding the molecular mechanism of proteins involved in signal transduction, which play important roles in cancer and disease development. His lab uses bio-analytical methods to study the enzymatic kinetics and utilizes calorimetrical and spectroscopic approaches to investigate ligand-receptor, drug-receptor, and protein-protein interactions.
