Prof. Rosine Coq Germanicus is a distinguished nanoscientist and full professor at the University of Caen Normandy, France, where she has been contributing to academic excellence and scientific innovation since 2003. With over two decades of expertise in nano-characterization, nanomechanics, and failure analysis of micro/nanoelectronic devices, she specializes in advanced techniques including Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) for structural, electrical, and mechanical investigations at the nanoscale. A graduate of the University of Montpellier II, Prof. Germanicus completed her doctoral research in collaboration with CNES and ALCATEL Space, focusing on the degradation of optoelectronic components in space environments. Her diverse career includes pivotal roles in academia, industry, and collaborative research laboratories such as CRISMAT (CNRS UMR 6508) and the Integrated Passive Devices of Normandy (IPDN) joint laboratory with Murata. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, co-authored a book on nano-characterization techniques, and actively participates in leading international scientific conferences. Her editorial contributions include serving on the International Editorial Board of Electronic Device Failure Analysis (EDFA), and she is a regular reviewer for prestigious journals in nanotechnology and materials science. Prof. Germanicus is also deeply engaged in mentorship, scientific communication, and outreach, promoting women's engagement in science through various educational initiatives and public events.
