Dr. Baobing Zhao, Ph.D., is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shandong University, and a Taishan Scholar Distinguished Young Expert in Shandong Province. He specializes in molecular pharmacology, focusing on the regulation of the hematopoietic microenvironment, discovery and validation of novel drug targets, and screening of lead compounds for targeted therapies. Dr. Zhao has published over 60 SCI-indexed papers in leading journals, including Journal of Clinical Investigation, Developmental Cell, Advanced Science, and Leukemia. He holds several important academic and professional roles, serving as Deputy Head of the National Regenerative Medicine Professional Committee of the China Volunteer Association, Executive Director of the Shandong Pharmacological Society, Deputy Director of the Hematopoietic Reconstruction and Cellular Engineering Committee of the Shandong Stem Cell Society, and Director of the Cell Biology Society of Shandong Province. Additionally, he is a Young Member of the Teaching and Science Popularization Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society and a Member of the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee on Umbilical Cord Blood Clinical Applications of the Shandong Medical Association. Dr. Zhao also contributes to the scientific community as an Editorial Board Member of Pharmacology Discovery, MedMat, and Pharmaceutical Science Advances, and serves as a reviewer for leading journals such as Molecular Cell, Advanced Science, European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, and Blood. He earned his Ph.D. in Science from Xiamen University and his Bachelor of Engineering from Northwest A&F University. Before joining Shandong University, he completed his postdoctoral training and later served as a Research Assistant Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, USA. His research interests include the regulation of the hematopoietic microenvironment, discovery of novel drug targets, mechanisms of stem cell biology, and the development of stem cell exosome application technologies.
