BIOGRAPHY:
Dr Maryana Kravtsenyuk is a Forensic Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead of the Inpatient Forensic Service at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health CAMH in Toronto Ontario. She holds concurrent academic appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta. Dr Kravtsenyuk obtained her Doctor of Medicine with Honours from Bohomolets National Medical University in Kyiv 2006 followed by a Masters of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary 2009. She completed her Post Graduate Medical Education in Psychiatry at the University of Alberta 2015 and a Forensic Psychiatry Subspecialty Training Program at the University of Toronto 2016. Her clinical practice spans several provinces and territories across Canada where she provides expert psychiatric care and consultation in correctional and forensic settings including the Toronto South Detention Centre Central East Correctional Centre and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. She also serves as a Consulting Psychiatrist for the Provincial Criminal Code Review Boards of Ontario and Alberta. Dr Kravtsenyuk’s professional interests include forensic assessment correctional psychiatry neuropsychiatric disorders risk assessment and the interface between law and mental health. She is recognized for her leadership in clinical service development interdisciplinary collaboration and mental health advocacy within forensic and correctional systems.
