BIOGRAPHY:
Dr.Hasan Kilic is a full time Chemistry Professor at Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey. Kilic obtained BSc in Chemistry (1986, Marmara University), MSc (1990, Marmara University), and PhD in Physical Chemistry (1997, Marmara Univ.). Kilic was a visiting research professor for two consecutive summers in Dr. Brankovic’s group at University of Houston, Texas, USA. Kilic has been conducting research in biological chemistry, photochemistry, electrochemistry, and reaction kinetics and published many papers in these fields. Kilic has guided 13 MSc thesis. Kilic secured a patent related to the usage of a coumarin derivative for specific applications in medicine. He was given “International Promotion and Support Award” for the work done on “Electrochemistry of some heterocyclic pyrimidine compounds”.
