BIOGRAPHY:
Ana Pombo is now currently working as a Professor of Aquaculture at the School of Tourism and Maritime Technology (ESTM), Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Portugal since 2005. Aquaculture Master Head at the same Polytechnic Institute since 2012 and researcher at MARE (Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre). She has been investigating new species to marine aquaculture and she is head in several researcher projects and also author of many publications and her research is focused on diversification in aquaculture to improve the sustainability of the sector. She completed her PhD on Biomedical Investigation and Biotechnology in the field: Biology of Farmed Fishes at University of Extremadura, Spain. Her present research interests include marine aquaculture, diversification in aquaculture, marine biology, histology and marine biotechnology
