BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Sheng-Fan Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Science and Biotechnology, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan. His major training involves virology, immunology, and biotechnology. His study interests are major in emerging or re-emerging infectious disease as well as how these microbes interact with the host. Currently, he has studied several viruses, including HIV-1, SARS-Coronavirus, HCV, Enterovirus, Avian Influenza virus, Dengue and Zika virus. Dr. Wang collaborates with the several global outstanding research teams. Furthermore, he participates in the glycobiological study of the role of galectins (beta-galactoside-binding lectins) in virus diseases.
