BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Meric Koksal Akkoc, Ph.D. is Professor of Faculty of Pharmacy at Yeditepe University She obtained her B.Sc. in Pharmacy in 1997 from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. She then completed a M.Sc. in 1999 and Ph.D. in 2003 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Instutue of Heallth Sciences at Hacettepe University. During her graduate program, she worked as a research assistant. In 2003 she got a position as an Assistant Proffesor at Yeditepe University where she still has been. As a medicinal chemist, her research interest include drug discovery and development. Her papers and projects are focused on synthesis, design and structure activity relationships of potential molecules as an analgesic, antiinflammatory and anticancer agents.
