Dr. Jane F Manakil is an academic and clinician in the School of Dentistry and Oral Health at Griffith University, Australia. She holds a PhD and Grade cert in clinical dentistry from University of Queensland, Australia. She is currently a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. She completed her Bachelors in Dentistry in 1985 and speciality in the field of Periodontology (1989). After completion of the specialty, He joined as a general dental practitioner and academician in the college of dental sciences, holding the responsibilities as a lead in the Department of Periodontics. Since then she worked as a Periodontist, a general dental practitioner and clinical supervisor. During the period, she was an examiner for various exams and has conducted numerous teaching activities. Along her career path she was involved in the development of Periodontology program at the University of West Indies, in Trinidad & Tobago.

Dr. Jane F Manakil experience for the past 30 years involved academia, research in learning and teaching, practice in the field of periodontics and holistic patient care. She had numerous publications from my research in field of molecular biology which are published in peer reviewed Journals with multiple citations. She has been the sole editor for the book on Periodontal Diseases - A Clinician's Guide (2012), with the current international download exceeding 57,000. He have also published and presented on the dental education and also acted as a peer reviewer for articles on Laser therapy and Radiology. 

Dr. Jane F Manakil research interest includes dental education research of chronic disease conditions as in Periodontitis and preventive oral health applications. She has three decades of clinical experience, with skills covering all aspects of general dentistry and the ability to provide high quality comprehensive patient management.
