BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Lufang Zhou is currently working as an Assistant Professor at The University of Alabama, Birmingham. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2006. He then completed the postdoctoral training in cardiology and biomedical engineering in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He received many honors and awards. He published various articles in international journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Lufang Zhou research interests are in the area of pathophysiology and therapeutics of oxidative stress related to diseases of mitochondrial origin as it pertains to cardiovascular and metabolic disease such as heart failure and diabetes.
