BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Dhruba Pathak is currently working as a Research scientist at the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology of Boston University School of Medicine, USA. He received Ph.D degree of Biological Science from the Institute of Physiology and Biochemistry, University of Belgrade. He had Membership in Professional Society and also serves as an editorial member for various international journals He has published many papers in reputed international journals and He is the author of numerous publications.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Dhruba Pathak research interests include how tau protein propagates in the hippocampal circuit and beyond leading to neurodegenerative diseases. And understanding the mechanism by which misfolded tau protein in one neuron induces the seed for the next nearby neuron causing neurofibrillary tangles. He wants to exploit Patch clamp recording in different areas such as CA1, CA3, and DG to get a better picture of the synaptic and non-synaptic spread of tau. His interests are also in Neuron, Neurotransmission, Anatomy, Neurobiology.
