Dr. Mayavan Subramani is a researcher and he has been working on different plant species for more than 8 years. He did his Ph.D. on “In Planta Transformation studies in Sugarcane”, and he has experience in genetic transformation studies in Arabidopsis, Soybean, Cucumber, Withania, Vigna mungo, and Tobacco. He completed his first Post Doctorate studies on Metabolic Engineering of Tobacco for enhanced synthesis of Artemisinin- an Antimalarial Drug. He is also well experienced in molecular characterization of Marine Chemolithotrophs in South China Sea. In addition, he did research on Biochemical Characterization of Freshwater Algae in Mid-West Region of United States. His current focus of research is on Genomics and Epigenomics in Plant –Environmental and Plant Microbe Interactions.
